In a follow up to our earlier report that the French magazine ZATAZ had revealed, that the official website of the resort did not protect the user datat of French guests sufficiently, the union CFDT representing CMs at the resort has now reacted.
The union was able to independently confirm the report of ZATAZ and gain access to the data without proper authorization. In other words: even after ZATAZ has published the article the resort has not reacted even so the report might result in potential hackers trying to find the security breach (which was not identified - neither by ZATAZ nor CFDT in public). CFDT has published its letter to CEO Karl Holz and Vice President Relations Sociales, Ressources Humaines Daniel Dreux in which it requests that immediately proper steps are taken to secure the data and prevent a repeat in the future.
In the meantime we once again encourage all guests who used the official website and entered private data to check with the list of ZATAZ whether there data might have been accessible to unauthorized persons.

Die Gewerkschaft CFDT, die zahlreiche CMs des Resorts vertritt, konnte unabhängig den Bericht des französischen Magazins ZATAZ bestätigen, dass Daten der französischen Nutzer der offiziellen Website des Resorts ungeschützt zugänglich sind. Mit anderen Worten: trotz des Berichts von ZATAZ, der auch mögliche Hacker auf die Lücke aufmerksam gemacht haben könnte (auch wenn weder dort noch im Bericht der CFDT die genaue Lücke beschrieben ist), hat das Resort noch nicht reagiert.
Die CFDT hat nunmehr einen Brief veröffentlicht, den sie an CEO Karl Holz und Vice President Relations Sociales, Ressources Humaines Daniel Dreux geschickt hat. Inhalt: die Forderung umgehend die Sicherheitslücke zu schließen und Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, um eine Wiederholung in Zukunft zu verhindern.
In der Zwischenzeit empfehlen wir allen Gästen, die persönliche Daten auf der Website angegeben haben, anahnd der Liste von ZATAZ zu überprüfen, ob ihre Daten möglicherweise von Dritten abrufbar waren.
