Pirates of the Caribbean ist ein echter Disney Klassiker, der daher auch weltweit in den Disney Themenparks zu finden ist - wobei keine Ausgabe eine Kopie der übrigen ist, sondern alle mehr oder weniger kleine Verbesserungen und Veränderungen aufweisen.
Als Walt Disney Disneyland erschuf wollte er die Möglichkeit haben seine Geschichten dreidimensional erzählen zu können. Er konnte die Sets für diese Geschichten bauen - doch ein gewisses Element fehlte noch: die Figuren.

Es ist endlich so weit - der komplette(!) Soundtrack von Michael Giacchino (der bei Disney-Fans durch seinen Soundtrack für Disney Pixars The Incredibles bekannt wurde, zuvor aber schon mit seinen Kompositionen für Videospiele Fans gewonnen hat) für Space Mountain Mission 2 aus dem Disneyland Resort Paris ist endlich erhältlich ... in der Originalaufnahme, wie in der Attraktion zu hören!
Leider kann der Soundtrack aber nicht im Resort erstanden werden, so dass DLRP keinen einzigen Cent Gewinn damit erwirtschaftet. Stattdessen ist ein großes DANKE-SCHÖN´an Erik Wood von der wöchentlichen Radio-Show Cinematic Sound auf C101.5 FM in Hamilton, Ontario, fällig. Als Freund des Komponisten hat er von Michael Giacchino das Originalmaterial von den Aufnahmen zur Verwendung in seiner Radio-Show erhalten und hat daraus ein 3-Stunden-Special mit Musik von Michael Giacchino erarbeitet, das exklusiv online erhältlich ist - kostenlos! Die Show enthält in ihrer zweiten Stunde ab 47:25 Minuten den kompletten Soundtrack von Space Mountain Mission 2. Also schnell das Streaming Audio Angebot nutzen, bevor es offline geht!
Für Fans des Disneyland Anaheim gibt es dabei übrigens auch eine gute Nachricht: denn der Score für den dortigen Space Mountain von Michael Giacchino ist ebenfalls enthalten - einschließlich Pre-Launch- und Exit-Musik) und zwar in der zweiten Stunde ab Minute 39 (bzw. 42:09 für die Exit-Musik).

Unfortunately the score can not be bought anywhere in the Park, so DLRP is not going to make a single Cent from it. Instead we all need to thank Erik Wood from the weekly Cinematic Sound program on C101.5 FM in Hamilton, Ontario. Being a friend of Michael Giacchino Erik Wood was given the original recording material for use on his radio show and created a three hour special show dedicated to the works of Michael Giacchino which is available exclusively online - for free! The three hour show includes the complete soundtrack of Space Mountain Mission 2 in the second hour segment starting at 47:25 min. So go and get the streaming audio - before it is taken offline again.
For fans of Disneyland Anaheim it is worth noting, that the complete score that Michael Giacchino recorded for the original Space Mountain (including pre-launch and the exit music) is included in the program as well. It can also be found in the second hour segment starting at 39:00 min (respectively 42:09 min for the exit music).
